Visiting Artist Program hosts painter/sculptor

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Visiting Artist series for the School of Art and Design at SIU Carbondale kicks off next week with painter and sculptor Caleb Weintraub.

Weintraub will be available to art students during his visit. His public lecture begins at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the University Museum auditorium in Faner Hall.

Weintraub's paintings and sculptures convey far-flung narratives that examine ritual, memory, and collective fears and fantasies. Visit his website athttp://www.calebweintraub.net/.
