Saluki Family Weekend will offer fun for everyone
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki Family Weekend 2012 at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will give students and their families a chance to create a treasure of memories and bring all Salukis together.
The annual event is Sept. 28-30, and the weekend will feature activities for all ages.
This year's festivities include the Chancellor's Family Weekend Brunch, the Saluki Family Tailgate, the 76th annual Greek Sing, the Saluki Kickoff 5K run, a craft sale, campus tours, a football game against Indiana State, and volleyball matches against Creighton and Drake.
University Museum will feature a free exhibit, "A Miscellany of Talent and Fun." There will also be free boat rentals on campus lake, movies, and "New Faces 2012," a presentation by theater majors. A variety of special promotions at various places on campus will also be available.
