New theater majors will headline ‘New Faces’
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Department of Theater will present "New Faces 2012," a departmental debut of new theater majors on Sept. 29.
The event will include monologues, scenes, songs and exhibits featuring the department's "new faces." The evening's focus this year is work produced or revived during recent Broadway theater seasons.
The event starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Christian H. Moe Theater in the Communications Building. A reception will follow.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. Strong language or adult themes are possible in some of the performances.
The debut is part of SIU Carbondale's Family Weekend, when many families will be visiting campus.
