Flags lowered to U.S. consulate victims
Under a proclamation signed by Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, the United States flag and the Illinois flag are to be at half-staff at all State of Illinois facilities to honor the victims of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Flags are to be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset, Sunday, Sept. 16, in honor of U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans killed in the attack.
