Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:
One of our students, Tyler Gravitt, is in the intensive care unit of a St. Louis hospital, and I ask that you join me in extending our support to him and his family.
Tyler, who is a freshman from Matteson, was injured in a fall early this morning from the fourth floor of University Hall. The Department of Public Safety's initial investigation indicates this was accidental.
We continue to be in close contact with Tyler's family. Please keep Tyler and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
The investigation by SIU Carbondale's Department of Public is continuing. The Carbondale Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
