Course available to help students prepare for ACT

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Office of Continuing Education and Outreach is offering a course to prepare high school students take the ACT.

The ACT Prep Course will meet over six days in October.  The intensive review, which is over three weekends, will prepare students for the ACT and provide test-taking tips and strategies, along with a full-length practice exam.  The course is available in a small classroom setting on campus.  The class will meet from noon to 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21.

The $275 registration fee includes instruction, along with "The Real ACT prep Guide: The Only Official Prep Guide from the Makers of the ACT," and a study guide developed by an experienced ACT instructor.

Pre-registration is required.  The registration deadline is Sept. 26. There is no on-site registration.
