Saluki Track and Field Camps set for July

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Division of Continuing Education along with Intercollegiate Athletics will offer junior high and high school student-athletes a chance to learn new skills and improve their vaulting and throwing abilities at the 2012 Saluki Track and Field Camps.  There are several one-day camps.

The Pole Vault Camp will be July 14 and/or July 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The Throws Camp will be meet on July 14, July 15, 21 and/or 22 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.   All camps will take place at the new SIU Carbondale track at 405 Saluki Drive, near Abe Martin Field.

The camps will offer each participant a personalized evaluation of his or her technique(s).  The registration fee for pole vaulting is $100 for one day or $150 for both days.  The registration fee for the throwing camp is $100 for one day, $150 for two days, $250 for three days and $300 for four days.  The registration fee provides a camp T-shirt, instruction and limited accident medical camper coverage.
