Students earn Saluki Community Scholarships

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Six area students earned Saluki Community Scholarships to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  

Old National Bank and 710 Book Store award the scholarships to high school seniors, returning, or transfer students from Jefferson, Saline, Wabash and White counties who will attend SIU Carbondale.  Successful applicants demonstrate a continued commitment to their communities through volunteer service.

This year’s Saluki Community Scholarship recipients are: 

• Laila E. Abdo, Saline County

• Logan E. Boulds, Saline County

• Brent S. Daniels, Jefferson County

• Erika D. Kabat, Jefferson County

• Clay Walker, Wabash County

• David T. Winkleman, White County

Each scholarship consists of a $500 grant, renewable each semester for four consecutive semesters (not including summer semester), and applies to books and school supplies at 710 Book Store’s Carbondale location.
