Teachers’ Academy for Life-Long Learning planned

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The 10th Annual Teachers’ Academy for Life‐Long Learning (T.A.L.L.) workshop will be held June 6, 7, 8, 11 and 12 at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The theme for this summer’s event is “The Common Core Standards: Addressing Mathematics, Reading, and Assessment.”

Each day of the learning experience features presenters who have various backgrounds and experiences working with pre-k through eighth-grade mathematics.  The weeklong workshop is appropriate for both classroom teachers and special subject teachers.  Tuition waivers and CPDU credits are available, if desired.

The workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first four days and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12.  It all takes place at the Carbondale Middle School.

The registration deadline is May 25.  The fee for this workshop is $125.
