Joel Ringdahl to present brown bag lecture

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Joel Ringdahl will present “Response Persistence:  Building Treatments That Last” at noon Wednesday, April 25, in Room 219 of Wham Building on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus.

All faculty, staff and students are welcome and may bring lunches if they like.  There will be light refreshments available during the lunchtime event.  The presentation is the last this academic year in the College of Education and Human Services’ Fifth Annual Scholarship Brown Bag Series.

Ringdahl is an assistant professor the Behavior Analysis and Therapy Program at the Rehabilitation Institute.  He earned his doctorate in 1999 and his master’s in 1995 in psychology from Louisiana State University, and he holds a 1992 bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida. He is a licensed psychologist in Iowa and his research interests include analysis and treatment of severe behavioral problems in individuals who have developmental disabilities, functional communication training, assessment of stimulus preference and the area of behavioral momentum theory and behavioral economics.
