Media Advisory -- Orchestra Rehearsals
The Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra invites the media to final rehearsals for its final performance of the 2011-2012 season. Rehearsals for “Out of This World,” a concert featuring Gustav Holst’s “The Planets,” and also guest starring Carbondale native David Kim, now concertmaster for the Philadelphia Orchestra, are set for Tuesday, March 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 50 minutes of the final rehearsal also coincides with a Klassics for Kids performance, during which the orchestra demonstrates instruments for school age listeners, and offers a preview of the concert.
