CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The efforts by Southern Illinois University Carbondale to help those affected by the Feb. 29 tornadoes are continuing.

The Center for Service Learning and Volunteerism is working with the Undergraduate Student Government to organize a Saturday devoted to helping clean up the Harrisburg area.

On Saturday, March 31, a bus will depart from the front entrance of the Student Center at 8:15 a.m. for the trip to Harrisburg.  All students, faculty and staff are welcome to join in the effort.  USG is providing the bus along with bottled water and snacks for all of the volunteers.  After the morning cleanup wraps up, the city of Harrisburg will provide lunch.

Any student, faculty or staff interested in participating in this day of service should call Student Life and Intercultural Relations at 618/453-5714 by noon on Thursday, March 29.
