SIU Carbondale to host regional college expo
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites area high school and community college students to visit the Southern Regional Illinois College Exposition, an event bringing representatives from approximately 75 public and private universities, colleges and community colleges together in one place.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon on March 1 at the SIU Carbondale Student Recreation Center. The exposition is free.

Members of the media are welcome to cover the Southern Regional Illinois College Exposition. The event is a good place to access hundreds of area high school students who plan to attend college, and may yield or contribute to news or feature stories about trends in area high school students’ career goals, or high school graduation stories as well as an event news story. SIU Carbondale invited students from 12 Southern Illinois counties to attend this event. Hosting the regional fair is a service the University provides for the Southern Illinois community.
