Advanced grant writing course set for Feb. 28-29

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Acquiring funding for research and programs can be challenging, but there is help available at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

There will be an advanced course for grant writing and development from 6 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 29 in Lawson Hall, Room 141.  The course will offer information about developing grants that directly impact long-range and strategic planning efforts.  The focus will be on techniques for grant development and methods of researching current grant opportunities.

Jo Anne Nast is the course instructor, bringing to the table 25 years of experience in grant writing that obtained numerous grants from national departments and organizations.  She’s retired from the University’s Office of Research Development and Administration but continues to work with non-profit organizations for grant development and administration.
