Media Advisory -- Cessna Airplane Arrivals
Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to cover the arrival of five new Cessna airplanes for Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s nationally recognized aviation flight program on Thursday, Dec. 8.
The five Cessna 172R Skyhawk airplanes are expected to arrive at the Southern Illinois Airport between 3 and 4 p.m. Five assistant chief flight instructors and five aviation students are flying the planes to Southern Illinois from the Cessna manufacturing plant in Independence, Kan. The instructors and students will be available for interviews.
Student flight fees cover the purchase price.
