Advanced grant writing course is Nov. 9-10

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Finding the funds for research or programs can often be a challenge. Fortunately, there is help available for those seeking assistance.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering an advanced course about grant writing and development Nov. 9-10.  This workshop provides participants with information regarding development of grants that directly impact their institution’s long range and strategic planning efforts.  The course will focus on techniques for grant development and methods of researching current grant opportunities.

The instructor for this course is Jo Anne Nast.  She has 25 years of experience in grant writing and has obtained numerous grants from national departments and organizations.  Retired from the University’s Office of Research Development and Administration, she continues to work with non-profit organizations in grant development and administration.

The Advanced Grant Development and Administration course will meet in Lawson Hall on the SIU Carbondale campus from 6 to 9 p.m..  The first evening session is in Room 231 while the second session is in Room 201.  The registration fee is $50 and there is no registration deadline.
