Civil Service Council’s trivia night set for Oct. 14

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- There is still time to sign up to test your knowledge at the upcoming Southern Illinois University Carbondale Civil Service Council’s annual trivia night later this week in Murphysboro.

The event is Friday, Oct. 14, at the Murphysboro Elks Club, 1809 Shomaker Drive.  Doors open at 6 p.m., with the event from 7 to 9 p.m.

The trivia night was initially set for Oct. 1, but postponed due to scheduling difficulties.

Proceeds go to the Civil Service Education Assistance Program.  There are no refunds.

Teams of four to eight people will compete for cash prizes given to first, second, and third place.  Single players will be assigned to a team.  The cost is $20 per person; $25 at the door.

There will also be a raffle, door prizes, and a silent auction.

Payments in cash, checks and money orders are acceptable.  Send checks and money orders, payable to SIUC, to Becky Armstrong, Professional Constituencies Office, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Woody Hall, C-114, Mailcode 4712. 900 S.
