Oct. 13 workshop open to faculty, staff
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- “The Value of Voltage: Connect the Disconnects” is an Oct. 13 workshop that is free and open to all Southern Illinois University Carbondale faculty and staff.
The workshop is set for 9:30-11 a.m. in Rooms 111/112 at the Student Health Center.
Carol Fisher, workforce learning and development officer, will present the Labor and Employee Relations workshop. She’ll discuss things people can do to address problems on campus in a constructive way and how individuals can develop positive solutions, recognize inappropriate behavior and steer and focus communication toward resolution. She’ll comment about the importance of getting the facts, setting priorities, being specific and the necessity of focusing on the most relevant issues, paying attention, being accountable and being willing to take responsibility for actions.
Registration can be on site as participants arrive or in advance by sending an RSVP email to Fisher at cefisher@siu.edu.
