Association members can take free practice exams
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- All members of the SIU Alumni Association who aspire to earn graduate and professional degrees will have the opportunity to hone their test-taking skills for upcoming entrance exams later this month at Southern Illinois University University Carbondale.
In conjunction with Kaplan Test Prep National Test Day, the Association will provide free practice tests for the LSAT (law school), MCAT (medical school), GMAT (business school), PCAT (pharmacy school), and DAT (dental school) entrance exams. The event is Saturday, Oct. 22, at various locations and times on campus depending upon the test.
“Members find these types of opportunities to be very valuable,” said Laura Taylor, director of member services with the SIU Alumni Association. “Free practice exams give the test taker the opportunity to see how they will fare on exam day, without the added pressure of taking the actual exam. Scores and even personalized assessments will be provided at no cost to everyone who participates in this event. It’s a great way to prepare for the next big step in your education or career.”
Test takers will receive real-time scores after the exam is finished. The complimentary practice tests are available to members of the SIU Alumni Association only.
Southern Illinois University Carbondale recruiters from the SIU School of Law, SIU School of Medicine and the Graduate School will also be present. Kaplan professors will be available by the Internet to provide real-time feedback, answers and advice.
