Res to Rec offers students variety of activities
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Res to Rec festival, set for Sunday, Aug. 28, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an evening of fun and games for students.
Res 2 Rec will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Recreational Sports Complex south of campus beach on Evergreen Drive. University Housing and Recreational Sports and Services are sponsoring the opportunity for students to gather and celebrate living together at SIUC and being part of the Saluki family.
The event will include a wide array of activities including flag football, kickball, wiffle ball, a flag football clinic and much more. Students and teams can register for the intramural sports play prior to Sunday online at www.imleagues.com/schools/siuc.registration (go to the Southern Illinois University Carbondale page).
Participants can also enjoy free food and get free T-shirts. There will be a shuttle in operation, bringing students from residence halls to the complex, too.
