CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Agriculture scholars and leaders will honor students, faculty and others this month during the annual "All Ag Banquet" sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The event is an annual tradition that recognizes faculty, staff, students and alumni for their achievements and accomplishments in the field of agriculture and related disciplines. The banquet is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in the ballrooms at the Student Center.

The SIUC Ag Alumni Society Board of Governors’ annual meeting will precede the banquet, beginning at 4 p.m. in room 209 in the Agriculture Building.

Those attending the banquet will partake in a pork loin buffet and be treated to a slide show illustrating student and club activities. Organizers also plan a silent auction of baskets prepared by student organizations, with the proceeds going to support the Ag Council’s community service projects.

Organizers also will present awards for a variety of achievements including outstanding alumnus, service to agriculture, young alumnus and outstanding student clubs, among many others.

The public and University community are invited to the event. Tickets are $20 for non-students and $12 for students. For ticket sales information, call 618/453-2469 or email maraya@siu.edu.
