CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Finding the funds for research or programs can often be a challenge but the Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering help for those seeking such assistance.

The Advanced Grant Development and Administration course will meet 6-9 p.m. Feb. 21 and 22 in Lawson Hall, Room 221. Jo Anne Nast is the course instructor. She has 25 years of grant-writing experience and has obtained numerous grants from national departments and organizations. Nast, who retired from SIUC’s Office of Research Development and Administration in 2007, continues to work actively with non-profit organizations assisting with grant development and administration.

The February course is appropriate for those who want to learn about the process of obtaining grants from government or private organizations. Those attending should be ready to participate actively in class discussions and help compose a grant proposal outline.

The cost of the course is $50. For more information, or to register, contact the Division of Continuing Education at 618/536-7751 or visit the website at https://www.dce.siu.edu.
