Blood drive set for Jan. 24-25 at Student Center

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- You can give the gift of life during Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s blood drive Jan. 24 and 25.

The American Red Cross blood drive will accept donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the Student Center on the lower level near the food court area. The need for blood is constant and donating takes just a few minutes, but according to the American Red Cross, only three of every 100 Americans donate blood. Donors can give blood once every 56 days.

Student Development-Multicultural Programs and Services, University Housing, Gaia House and the Black Male Roundtable are sponsors of the blood drive.
