Media Advisory -- Health Career/Education Fair
Some 200 middle school students, teachers and guidance counselors from Vienna and Creal Springs will attend a health career and education fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in the Student Center International Lounge on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to attend.
Organized by students from SIUC’s Department of Health Education and Recreation, the program will introduce students to health-related careers and the educational preparation they require. It also will provide information, aimed at this particular age group, on nutrition, exercise, drug and alcohol use, relationships and coping strategies.
