Ten questions with ... Heather Willis
Job on campus/department you work in: Office support specialist, Library Affairs administrative office.
How long at SIUC: Five years.
Hometown: Du Quoin.
When you were a youngster, what did you want to be when you grew up? A cowgirl.
People don’t know that you…: Are a thrill-ride junkie! I love roller coasters and just about anything that goes fast!
If you could choose another profession, what would it be and why? Can you earn money as a professional shopper? No? Then I guess a travel agent. I enjoy planning our family trips!
What is something you still want to accomplish in life? I would love to get my master’s degree.
What is one random fact about you? I have three wonderful daughters ages nine, four and two.
What is your favorite food and why? My “Mom’s” chicken fettuccine. Imagine my surprise when I asked for this “family recipe” and found out it was from the back of the box of Kroger fettuccine noodles! Still delicious.
Who has inspired you, and how? My husband. He’s a selfless, hard-working man who puts his family first.
What is your pet peeve? Drivers who refuse to use their turn signals!
What would you like your gravestone to say about you? 1982-(date). She made the most of her dash.
Favorite cartoon character? Why? Mickey Mouse. Who doesn’t love a classic?
