‘28 Days’ exhibit planned at Surplus Gallery
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The name of the event is “28 Days” but you only have one.
However, in that one, you get 10.
“28 Days: A Summer Sculpture Collective” comes to the Surplus Gallery at Southern Illinois University Carbondale for a day-long gallery run.
The event begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 9. The exhibit itself runs 1-4 p.m., with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. that same day.
Ten students in an advanced sculpture summer course created the exhibit, working on video installation, cast metal and soft sculpture, among other media.
The Surplus Gallery is in The Glove Factory at 432 S. Washington St. in Carbondale.
There is no admission fee for the art show or for the reception.
