CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Ryan Bradshaw of Toronto is the recipient of recent Leadership Team Member of the Month accolades from Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Recreational Sports and Services.

Bradshaw is a graduate student in kinesiology. The son of David and Christine Bradshaw, he’s been employed by RSS as a graduate assistant for more than a year and a half. He plans to graduate in May with his master’s and his goal is a career in campus recreation. He earned his undergraduate degree in finance and administration.

“It has been a pleasure to have Ryan as a member of the Intramural Sports and Sport Club team. Every day Ryan looks to better himself and others around him. He has a bright future in whatever field he chooses. With Ryan, every day presents a new look. He has not only become a well-functioning member of our team, but he has done a tremendous service to our program as he’s developed relationships in the community for our younger officials. Ryan has worked with high school football, basketball, baseball and soccer while maintaining his Canadian ice hockey certification,” said Shane M. Bennett, assistant director of Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs for RSS.

RSS presents the Leadership Team award each month to a member of its team, which includes full-time staff, graduate assistants and student employees. Full-time staff members choose the winner from among the nominees. Bradshaw won the January recognition for demonstrating extraordinary leadership and teamwork skills.
