Media Advisory -- State Award
Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to attend a ceremony on Thursday, May 6, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where the University will receive a first-ever award from the state of Illinois for its efforts to enhance the educational experiences of student military veterans.
The ceremony is at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Health Center Auditorium. Among those attending will be Chancellor Samuel Goldman, and Dan Grant, director of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs.
