AXE Twisted Humor Tour coming to campus
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A night of “twisted” hilarity is coming to Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The “Funny or Die” AXE Twisted Humor Tour will appear in Student Center Ballrooms C and D at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 26. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
“Funny or Die” is a comedy video website featuring original comedy video along with user submissions. You can check it out athttp://www.funnyordie.com/axe.
The tour features the wit of Nick Kroll, Whitney Cummings, Donald Glover and Chelsea Peretti. Kroll is on Variety magazine’s “10 Comics to Watch” list and Comedy Central television’s “Hot List of ’09.” Cummings regularly appears on “Chelsea Lately,” and co-starred with Patrick Dempsey in “Made of Honor.” You’ll also see her on the Variety list as well as the “Comedy Stars of Tomorrow” list from Entertainment Weekly.
Glover is a part of the “Derrick Comedy” sketch group, stars on the NBC series “Community” and is likewise on the Variety list. Peretti has numerous television appearances to her credit including as a regular on Tru Tv’s “The Smoking Gun Presents.” New York magazine named one of her shows among its “Top 20 Funniest Web Videos of 2007.”
