How long at SIUC: 12 years
Hometown: Quincy, Ill.
When you were a youngster, what did you want to be when you grew up? A hair stylist.
People don’t know that you… Lived in Germany for three years.
If you could choose another profession, what would it be and why? A counselor. I enjoy listening to people and like to cheer them up when they’re sad.
What was the first “album” you ever bought, and was it an LP, 8-track or CD? I think it was an LP, Supertramp, Breakfast in America. My goodness I’m old!
If you could pick an actor/actress to play you in a movie, who would you pick and why? Sandra Bullock. I think she’s multi talented; she’s believable in comedies as well as in serious roles. Not to mention, she’s gorgeous!
Cats or dogs? Definitely dogs, I’m somewhat frightened of cats. I have a sweet Golden Retriever named Sadie.
What is your favorite food and why? Chicken! I just love it prepared any way. My brother-in-law thinks it’s the only thing I eat!
Who has inspired you, and how? My sister, she’s not afraid to stand up for what’s right.
What is your pet peeve? People talking on their cell phones while trying to drive!
What would you like your gravestone to say about you? She loved her family…and shopping!
