Media Advisory -- Federal Reserve Speaker

Participants in the youth entrepreneurship program, a partnership involving Carbondale’s Lewis School and the Southern Illinois Entrepreneurship Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, will hear from a representative of the Federal Reserve Bank later this week.

Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to cover “Personal Wealth and the Importance of Starting at a Young Age” by Jean B. Morisseau-Kuni, community development specialist with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The presentation is set for noon on Thursday, April 1, at Lewis School.

This is the third time the Southern Illinois Entrepreneurship Center at the SIUC Office of Economic and Regional Development has worked with students in Lewis School’s academically talented program, taught by Betsy Brown. This year about 48 fourth and fifth-graders are taking part in the program that runs through the end of the school year.
