Audio Conferencing AvailableSIUC Telecommunications has contracted with Verizon Business for all of SIUC’s audio conferencing needs. This new service, sometimes called teleconferencing, allows you to conduct a meeting simply by using your telephone. The service is available 24x7x365 at a cost of 6.5 cents a minute, with no advance reservation required. You can have meetings with employees, colleague, vendors, etc., from around the campus, the nation or even the world, from the convenience of your own office.
It’s easy to set up and even easier to start using, so don’t let a lack of technical knowledge stand between you and your first audio conference call. Telecommunications will help you every step of the way.
If your department has not already been enrolled in this program, contact Debi Hanson in SIUC Telecommunications at 618/453-2617. She will register you so you can start using the new service immediately. You will receive a toll-free number to call, plus an access code to enter, and you’ll share the information with meeting participants, along with the meeting date and time.
