Alumni watch-parties to cheer on the Salukis
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Salukis from all over the United States will be cheering on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale men’s basketball team this weekend, when several SIU Alumni Association chapters and clubs from across the country host watch parties for the Feb. 6 game at the University of Northern Iowa. SIU (13-9/5-7) and the nationally ranked Panthers (20-2/11-1) tip off at 5 p.m. (CST) on ESPN2.
Among the sites reserved for alumni to meet for the game are: Arlington, Va. (Mackey's Public House, 320 23rd St. in Crystal City); Austin, Texas (Bagpipes Pub, US 183 at Research Blvd.); Fullerton, Calif. (Mikey's Sports Bar, 3159 Yorba Linda Blvd.); Henderson, Nev. (Buffalo Wild Wings, 10271 S. Eastern Ave. at St. Rose Parkway and Eastern); Peoria (Sully's, 121 S.W. Adams St. at the corner of Fulton and Adams); and St. Louis (Over/Under Sports Bar, 911 Washington Ave.)
