CARBONDALE, Ill. -- An upcoming open house will showcase Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Wall and Grand Apartments.

The event is set for 1-6 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the lobby of Building 1, located at the corner of Wall Street and Grand Avenue. University students, faculty and staff as well as their families and community members can tour the fully furnished apartments and see what Wall and Grand living has to offer.

Visitors can enjoy refreshments. Movies will play in the lobby.

The apartments are all new, opening their doors within the past five years. Sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students of any age as well as to freshmen who are age 21 or older may reside there. Located near the Student Health Center and Student Recreation Center, the buildings offer two- and four-bedroom apartment options with each unit housing four students.

Rent for the all-inclusive units covers a fully furnished apartment including all utilities, cable television with a premium movie channel, local telephone, Ethernet, washer, dryer, two bathrooms and all of the kitchen appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Staff will be on hand to give tours and accept apartment applications at the open house. Students can even select their apartment that day from those that are available.
