WSIU-TV, radio to air Quinn-Hynes debate
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- WSIU Public Broadcasting will air a live Illinois gubernatorial debate between Democratic primary candidates Gov. Pat Quinn and Comptroller Dan Hynes on Thursday, Jan. 21, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The debate begins at 8 p.m. in WSIU-TV’s Studio A. The debate will air live on WSIU-TV 8, WUSI-TV 16, and WSIU Public Radio 91.9, 90.3, and 88.9 FM. The debate will also be available on a live stream at wsiu.org, and WSIU radio will make it available as a podcast.
WSIU TV producer Jak Tichenor will moderate the debate. David Yepsen, director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, and Jennifer Fuller, a reporter with WSIU radio, will provide questions to both candidates.
