H1N1 vaccinations available to campus community

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Student Health Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering campus community members another chance to get the H1N1 vaccination this week.

Any faculty, staff, students or alumni can get a free immunization at the health center now through Friday, Jan. 15. Just call 618/453-3311 to make an appointment. Vaccinations are by appointment only between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. all this week.

If there are groups of 20 or more people at a specific campus location seeking the vaccine, Student Health Center staff will schedule a time to come there to administer the shots.

There’s no cost but in addition to making an appointment, people will need to bring their campus identification when getting the immunization.

For information about the H1N1 flu vaccination and scheduling or about any of the many services the Student Health Center provides, visit www.shc.siuc.edu or check out their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SIUCSHC.
