by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The north entrance of Morris Library on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus will be closed from noon, Monday, Jan. 11, until 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14. The east and south entrances will remain open for patrons to use during that time.

The north entrance closure will allow artist Evan Lewis to complete the installation of “Wings of Knowledge,” the library’s new wind-driven kinetic sculpture. Lewis will present a lecture at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 in the John C. Guyon Auditorium at Morris Library, discussing “Wings of Knowledge” and his other works. The presentation is free and open to the public.
