Great Glass Pumpkin Patch sale is Oct. 17
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Just in time for Halloween, the Great Glass Pumpkin Patch returns to Carbondale.
The sale is Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 10 a.m. on the Carbondale Town Square. The sale ends when the last pumpkin is sold.
Southern Glass Works -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale students in the glass program -- spend weekends during the first weeks of the fall semester creating glass pumpkins in various sizes and colors. The sale is a major fundraiser for the glass program. Proceeds help buy materials and bring visiting artists to campus.
Prices range from about $10 to $100 or more. Come early for the best selection.
