Salukis -- literally -- invited to parade, alumni tent
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Calling all Saluki dog owners! It’s almost Homecoming season at Southern Illinois University Carbondale!
The SIU Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Council invite all Saluki dog owners to participate in the Homecoming parade and other festivities on Oct. 10.
The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Saluki owners may walk with members of the Student Alumni Council. The parade will form on Mill Street at University Avenue.
In addition, Saluki owners may bring their dogs to the SIU Alumni Association tent. Admission for dog owners and walkers is free to the tent and tent area for tailgating activities.
Admission to the game is not included in the Homecoming festivities. Parade dogs will not be allowed inside McAndrew Stadium.
