Seasonal Flu Immunizations
The Department of Central Management Services will provide free seasonal flu immunizations for all active and retired SIUC employees and surviving spouses enrolled in a state-sponsored health plan. The Jackson County Health Department will administer the immunizations at the Student Recreation Center Alumni Lounge.
Employees must present verification of employment (University ID) as well as a picture ID and a state health insurance card to receive the free immunization. Retirees and survivors must provide their state health insurance card and one type of picture identification. For health department billing purposes, individuals must provide either the last four digits of their Social Security number, their address or date of birth. Retirees and survivors who have Medicare Part B coverage must present their red, white and blue Medicare cards.
Here is the schedule:
• Tuesday, Sept. 22, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. for those with last names beginning A-M.
• Wednesday, Sept. 30, 8:30-5 p.m., last names beginning N-Z.
If you cannot attend one of these scheduled clinics, you may go to the Jackson County Health Department flu clinic to receive your free immunization.
Graduate assistants and teaching assistants may receive immunizations at the Student Health Center. Please call the health center to schedule an appointment.
