‘Saluki Fest’ to welcome students back to SIUC
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- As Salukis from far and wide converge at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a late summer day offers “Back to the Pound: Saluki Fest 2009” on the steps of Shryock Auditorium, Saturday, Aug. 29, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The Dave Matthews Tribute Band will provide music. You’ll want to check out the big inflatables scattered around, sample the free food and enjoy the games and novelties. The event features give-a-ways too.
The Student Programming Council and University Housing are sponsoring this event welcoming students to the University for the 2009-2010 academic year. No alcohol, drugs or weapons allowed.
