Klassics for Kids performance set for April 7
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The last Klassics for Kids performance of the spring 2009 semester at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is Tuesday, April 7.
The free performance begins at 10 a.m. in Altgeld Hall, Room 112. The performance focuses on musical theater, in anticipation of the SIUC presentation of the Broadway musical, “The Secret Garden,” set for the McLeod Theater April 16-19.
Klassics for Kids performances are for the very youngest listeners, from newborns to pre-kindergarten age. The interactive presentations introduce children to classical music in a format they find entertaining.
