Association plans pre-game receptions April 11, 25
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The SIU Alumni Association will host its members at a reception prior to Saluki softball and baseball games on April 11 and April 25, respectively.
The Saluki softball team will take on the Missouri State Bears at noon on April 11 at Charlotte West Stadium-Rochman Field. Members can enjoy a complimentary lunch including burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, soda, water and beverages from 10 a.m. to noon in the Alumni Lounge of the Student Recreation Center. Members will receive a special $1 game admission price by showing their Association membership card, with a maximum of four tickets per member.
The softball game is Saluki Athletics’ Strike Out Cancer Game and will include an auction featuring an official pink Under Armour SIU softball jersey and other items. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
The Saluki Athletics’ blackout baseball game against the Illinois State Redbirds is scheduled for April 25 at 2 p.m. at Abe Martin Field. Members can enjoy a complimentary lunch including burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, soda, water and beverages from noon to 2 p.m. under the Association’s Big Tent.
