Student Center to host inauguration event
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Can’t make the trip to the nation’s capital to see Barack H. Obama sworn in as the 44th president of the United States? You can still view the historic inaugural splendor on a large scale, surrounded by friends, at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center.
For a few minutes or for the day, stop by Ballroom B on the second floor of the Student Center and watch the festivities in Washington, D.C., via large screen television broadcast. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to view the unfolding of a new era from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20. You can even bring your lunch.
