Seminar planned for physical therapist assistants

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering a professional development seminar for physical therapist assistants in the region next month. “Upper Extremity Anatomy, Assessment and Problem Solving for the PTA” is set for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at the SIUC Student Health Center auditorium. Registration deadline is noon, Oct. 8.

The seminar will provide a review of the upper extremity neuromusculoskeletal anatomy as it pertains to physical therapy practices. Participants will, after completing the course, be able to identify upper body structures and perform various testing and screenings useful within the practice of physical therapy.
