SIUC to offer two grant-writing courses

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering two grant-writing programs to assist in obtaining government or private organization grants.

Introduction to Grant Writing is a two-session class giving beginners experience in finding grant opportunities and writing grant proposals. It’s an introduction for participants to the review process too. The class meets from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on two consecutive Wednesday, Sept. 17 and 24, in Room 108 at the Parkinson Laboratory on the SIUC campus. The cost is $50 and includes all materials.

Grant Writing II is a more advanced course for those who have already completed the introductory course or have some familiarity with the grant writing process. It offers assistance with individual grant proposals or other issues pertaining to the grant writing process. The class meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 1 in Parkinson Laboratory Room 107. The registration fee is $35 and includes all class materials.
