Course will explore variety of financial issues

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Have economic chaos, market correction and the latest financial crisis got you concerned? Are your finances in order as you plan for the future with mortgages, children going to college, health care costs and retirement?

The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering a course to help participants explore various financial issues and plan for the future. Special Topics in Modern Investing is for those who want to learn more about money management, investing basics, and various other topics relative to contemporary finance.

The class meets Tuesday evenings Sept. 9 through Nov. 4 (except for Sept. 23) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 1022 of the SIUC Communications Building. The registration fee is $50 and includes all materials. Registration is on a first-come basis.
