SIUC offers English as Second Language class

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- International students and community members can improve their English language skills in a fall course offered by the Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Speaking and Listening in English as a Second Language gives participants practice speaking and listening with others to hone their English skills.

The class starts Sept. 2 and meets daily Monday through Friday from noon until 12:50 p.m. through Dec. 5 in room 3514 of Faner Hall on the SIUC campus. Those interested in participating in the class must attend a meeting Aug. 27. The class is $50 and Aug. 29 is the registration deadline. Early registration is encouraged as enrollment is on a first-come basis.
