SIUC’s business college adopts new name
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's business college has a new name. Formerly the College of Business and Administration, it is now the College of Business.
"Our simpler name more accurately reflects the college’s academic offerings,” said College of Business Dean J. Dennis Cradit. The college offers degrees in accounting, business economics, business and administration, finance, management and marketing.
The SIUC College of Business is one of only three public business colleges in Illinois that offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The name change will have no effect on curriculums or requirements for the degrees granted by the college.
Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, SIUC’s College of Business is ranked among the top 100 public business colleges nationwide, by U.S. News & World Report.
“The College of Business is a proud institution with an honorable history and an exciting future,” Cradit said.
