Media Advisory -- French students at SIUC
For students visiting Southern Illinois University Carbondale from Grenoble, France, the “American Experience” ends with fireworks bursting in air.
Each summer, business students from Grenoble Ecole de Management come to SIUC to learn first-hand about American business acumen. They also come to learn about Americans and the American lifestyle. The program runs from late May to early July, often coinciding with Independence Day celebrations. The experience includes classroom work, site visits to businesses, scheduled recreational activity and free time.
Reporters, camera crews and photographers may catch up with the visiting students to hear their take on the “American Experience.” Some of the upcoming activities include a Sunset Concert, visits to Southern Illinois Healthcare and Giant City Lodge, and fireworks. Contact Cheryl Ernst at 618/453-6531 to schedule a time.
